About
The 23Zero Kabari Z is a four-season aluminum clamshell rooftop tent developed collaboratively by 23Zero Australia and 23Zero USA. At its core is a Z-style lift mechanism — a multi-hinge, gas-assisted system that allows the tent to be used as a traditional clamshell or fully deployed into a Z-lift configuration. This delivers exceptional internal volume, 360-degree views, four-way access, and a stable, wind-resistant structure across a wide range of conditions.
The laser-welded aluminum shell is constructed from 2mm aluminum with smooth radius corners to reduce fatigue points and improve long-term durability. The aluminum honeycomb base features a PVDF anti-oxidation coating and supports a static load capacity of over 1,000 pounds. When closed, the Kabari Z maintains a low-profile, aerodynamic shape. The tent sleeps two adults with up to 58 inches of interior height.
Inside, a self-inflating mattress with adjustable firmness sits over a 10mm insulated underlay that helps manage condensation and heat loss. ECO13B fabric with Light Suppression Technology (LST) blocks heat and sunlight to keep the sleeping area darker and cooler. An integrated power hub includes dimmable white and amber LED lighting, USB-A, USB-C, and a 12V socket, powered via an externally mounted Anderson SB-50 plug located underneath the tent. Power source and connecting cable to the SB-50 plug are not included.

ECO13B fabric with LST blocks heat and sunlight to maintain a cooler, darker interior. Oversized entry awnings, triangular mesh windows, and 125 gsm insect screens promote airflow while maintaining weather protection. Two cooler/heater ports (5" diameter) allow integration with heating or cooling systems, with zippered wiring access points above each port.
The integrated power hub inside the tent features a voltage meter, USB-A, USB-C, and 12V outlets. An externally mounted Anderson SB-50 plug underneath the tent provides power input. Dimmable white and amber LED lighting is included. Dual roof and side storage pockets are built in, with space to stow bedding when the tent is closed.
