FAQs

How far away should I stand from my impact screen?
A minimum distance of 10–12 feet from the screen is recommended for safety.

Can I iron or steam a golf impact screen?
Ironing is not recommended. Screens can relax naturally when mounted with tension. A consumer-grade steamer with distilled water may be used cautiously.

Can I wash my golf screen material?
Cleaning recommendations are available through Carl’s Place guidance on golf impact screen care.

Are there safety concerns when using a golf simulator?
Follow the provided assembly manual, keep people and pets out of swing range, protect surrounding surfaces, and review the Terms of Sale.

Do I need to use a golf hitting mat?
Golf hitting mats are recommended to provide cushioning, protect joints, and allow proper ball tee height.

What is the difference between Carl’s enclosure kits?

  • DIY Enclosure Kit: Entry-level enclosure for home use

  • Pro Enclosure Kit: Larger enclosure with additional safety features for commercial use

  • Curved Enclosure Kit: Pro enclosure with a curved screen for a panoramic view

How much space do I need for the enclosure?
Space planning should account for buffer space, enclosure footprint, recommended hitting distance, golfer height, club length, and room access.

When will my enclosure ship?
Enclosures are made to order. Production time may vary based on volume.

What pipes do I need to construct the enclosure frame?
The Pro Enclosure requires 2-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing). Pipes can be sourced locally or purchased as a Pipe Framing Kit.

How long does assembly take?
Assembly typically takes approximately 2 hours with helpers.

Can you make a custom size golf simulator enclosure?
Yes. Custom sizes can be ordered; contact us: support@lifestylehobbies.com
